This is a gallery for display and sale of artwork in Hahndorf’s main street. The owners required a ground floor attached to an existing heritage-listed shop and a new mezzanine, and that existing roof trusses which they had retained should be used. These determined the building’s dimensions. The owners also supplied much of the timber – both new and re-used – for the mezzanine structure.
